Our commitment
PimComm is committed to making our website and our service usable by people of all abilities. As a telecommunications provider we are federally regulated, which means the Accessible Canada Act applies to us.
The standard we build to
This website is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by CAN/ASC-EN 301 549:2024 under the Accessible Canada Act.
In practice that means:
- Text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and large text at least 3 to 1
- Every part of the site can be operated with a keyboard alone
- The item you have tabbed to is always visibly marked
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions
- Headings follow a logical order so screen readers can navigate the page
- Animation is reduced or removed for anyone who has asked their device for less motion
- Touch targets are large enough to use comfortably
- The site works without JavaScript
Alternate formats
Any information on this website is available in another format on request, including large print or being read to you over the phone. Call or email us and ask.
Tell us about a problem
If any part of this website or our service is difficult to use, please tell us. Feedback is genuinely useful and we would rather hear it than not.
You can reach us two ways:
- By phone: 1-800-773-3336
- By email: support@pimcommcorp.com
Feedback can be given anonymously. If you would like a reply, include a way to reach you.
[PLACEHOLDER: the Accessible Canada Act also requires a named designated person responsible for receiving accessibility feedback, and a stated commitment to acknowledge receipt. The email route above satisfies the non-telephone method requirement. Name the responsible person and confirm the acknowledgement timeframe.]
What we do with your feedback
[PLACEHOLDER: confirm the acknowledgement timeframe and how feedback is recorded. Regulated organizations must also publish an accessibility plan and progress reports on a set schedule. Confirm PimComm's reporting deadlines.]
Known limitations
We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist.
- Some content on this site is still marked as awaiting confirmation from PimComm and is not yet complete.
- A coverage and outage map is planned. When it is added, an equivalent text alternative will be provided at the same time, because a map alone is not accessible.
- The customer portal will be provided by a third party. We will ask that supplier about its own accessibility conformance before linking to it.
Compliance date
The Accessible Canada Act sets a compliance deadline of December 5, 2028 for federally regulated private sector organizations. This website has been built to the standard from the outset rather than retrofitted later.
